Alibaba Group Holding Ltd (NYSE:BABA) recently completed more than $3.8 billion acquisition deal with UCWeb, which is a Chinese pioneering company comprising of the package of smart phone services including search engine, browser, platform for games and app store.
This has been marked as a strong move of Alibaba in the business world of e-commerce; as this improves its new touch, users, visitors and reach. Alibaba is happy to strengthen its foot in the mobile space.
Mobile Apps and Browser Services in Focus
Both the companies will work towards UCWeb Mobile Business group; a new business move of Alibaba to invest more and better. This business group will focus on providing services for browser, mobile applications; location based search, application store and etc. Alibaba has a complete advantage of moving more into cloud computing, deep search techniques along with strong mapping with the help of massive data of UCWeb.
This group has also announced a big launch of mobile search technique known as “Shenma”.
Alibaba with AutoNavi: New Mapping Techniques and Innovations on its way
After having done acquisition browsing, Alibaba Group Holding Ltd (NYSE:BABA) surprised the entire market by announcing its takeover of Autonavi to avail all its mapping services and tools. They announced that the value of deal stood at $1.5 billion as 100% stock holder. This prepares company to enter IPOs in New York soon. This is said to benefit company to compete against many strong Chinese business rival companies; thereby making them rule the Internet world.
Bloomberg said that Alibaba is moving rapidly in investments in China as well as abroad. With this it is eyeing on investments in retail store chain as well.
