Thousands of fans of Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOGL) Nexus Player who resides in United Kingdom can now cheer as the company has announced the launch date in UK. As per the reports, Nexus Player will hit the UK market on March 26, 2015. Users will have to pay as much as £80 to buy the latest offering of Google.
Road So Far:
It’s been Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOGL) and its innovative products all around the globe lately. Earlier it was Google Glass that left everyone with shock, then it was Chromecast dongle, self-driven car concept, and now it’s Nexus Player, which has attained huge popularity before hitting the market. People can run the latest version of Android on their Nexus Player without any hassle. Chromecast proved to be a hit, and Google says that Nexus can do a lot more than that.
It comes with voice search feature and an Android console along with other gaming accessories. Experts claim it Google’s best effort to take on other rivalry products such as Fire TVs, Apple TVs, Rokus, etc. The news was first announced by Amazon.com, Inc. (NASDAQ:AMZN) which is said to be the distributor of Nexus Player in United Kingdom. The company has already started taking pre-orders for this highly-followed device.
If the features of Nexus Player are taken into consideration with keeping in mind that it’s a Google product, the price tag of £80 doesn’t seem to be very high. The price doesn’t include gamepad, which will come with the device. No official announcement about its price has been made by Google as well as Amazon. Even though the user interface of this device seems to be amazing, but its limited storage capacity and closed-off search feature aren’t that good.
The launch of this wonderful device is just a few days away, and it will be great to see how users respond to it. The actual picture will become clear in a few days time.
