SandRidge Energy Inc. (NYSE:SD) appointed John Suter as the Senior VP of Production, effective April 27, 2015. He brings to the company his extensive experience of serving in the production and exploration segment. Prior to his association with SandRidge he was associated with American Energy Partners, LP.
The expert view
Steve Turk, the COO and executive VP of SandRidge said that it is his delighting to welcome Suter on the management team. He had worked with Suter in the past and therefore is well acquainted with the way Suter completes the most complex projects. His leadership will result in the same impressive performance that he has recorded throughout his career.
Expressing his views on his new role, Suter said that as skilled and large-scale developers of gas and oil resources, SandRidge has developed a pioneering place in the Mid-Continent. With a hold on basis supporting the cost and various measures taken to boost innovation places the team in an excellent position to benefit in the coming future. He added that he looks forward to working in association with team in place to offer efficient and innovative solutions to the combined production efforts and to push costs lower. The performance of the SandRidge would also be dependent on the prices of oil.
Prior to joining American Energy, Mr. Suter served as VP of Operations for Chesapeake Energy Corporation (NYSE:CHK)‘s Western Unit, which included the Rockies, EagleFord and Permian. He was also the District Manager for the Chesapeake’s Southern Oklahoma and Barnett Shale and assets. Before joining Chesapeake, Mr. Suter was associated with Continental Resources, Inc. (NYSE:CLR), Petro-Lewis Corp and Cabot Oil & Gas Corporation (NYSE:COG). He graduated in Bachelor of Science with specialization in Petroleum Engineering in 1982. Now he will excel his expertise and experience to boost SandRidge operations.
