Sony Corp (ADR) (NYSE:SNE) Ready To Introduce The Xperia Z4 This Summer With A Partnership With Verizon Communications Inc. (NYSE:VZ)

Verizon Communications Inc. (NYSE:VZ) has plans to introduce the Xperia Z4 during the summer. The company will partner up with Verizon to launch the mobile device.

Sony has been racking up admirable gains since the company introduced the Xperia Z lineup. The first two editions proved to be game changers in the mobile devices especially when the company announced that they would be waterproof. That feature proved to be a great selling point for their device, making Xperia Z phones some of the most prestigious smartphones to own.

In addition to the ability to function under water, the company made sure the phones hosted the latest leading mobile technologies. The aim was to make powerful devices that would appeal to the high-end market while at the same time keeping up with the cutting edge devices from other companies such as Samsung and iPhones from Apple. Sony Corp (ADR) (NYSE:SNE) succeeded with their plans.

The Xperia Z3 was highly anticipated by many Experia fans. That is because it would become Sony’s flagship devices, and it was supposed to compete with the highly acclaimed iPhone 6 and 6S. The second edition of the Z3 smartphone featured an Octacore processor, the most cutting-edge, powerful and competitive processors in the market. Together with its other features such as the 20.7-megapixel camera and the high definition display, Sony appeared to be in a class of its own.

The announcement that there is an Xperia Z4 device to be revealed soon was rather unexpected. However, it has sparked interests as critics wait eagerly to see what new features or adjustments the device will host.

Sources reveal that the device will still be waterproof. It will also feature a 5.2-inch 2560×1440 high-resolution display. The primary camera will be 20.7 megapixels similar to the Z3 while the secondary camera is 5-megapixel. The device will have a 64-bit Snapdragon 810 octa-core processor. The base storage capacity will be 32GB while the premium model will have a 128GBinternal capacity. The phone is also be 4K enabled and can play full versions of PlayStation 4 games.
