Cisco Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ:CSCO) And Ontario Science Centre Collaborates For Creation Of Connected Museum

Albany, New York (09/25/2014) – Cisco Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ:CSCO) and Ontario Science Centre, said that the two will work together for accessibility and interactivity expansion of the latter. For this purpose, Cisco will invest in the latest Information Communication Technology, a.k.a. ICT. Through this, it will be possible to evolve the Center into connected museum, whereby broader audience could be engaged.

Additionally, Cisco will also invest in Cisco Science Fellow for ICT, the one-of-its-kind museum. For this purpose, Cisco will appoint Ontario Science Centre’s Sabrina Greupner.

Focus on Economic Success of Canada

In this regard, the CEO of Ontario Science Centre, Dr. Maurice Bitran, said that the center attracts over a million visitors annually. Out of these, around 180,000 are students. He explained that the center was among the preferred cultural attractions in the country.

Collaboration with Cisco Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ:CSCO) will enable Ontario Science Centre to work upon new modalities of interaction, so as to engage and reach the broader audience.

Mr. Bitran said that with Cisco’s expertise and technology solutions, Ontario Science Center will be able to offer better learning experience to visitors.

The Next-Gen Connected Museum

The information and communication systems of the center will be developed further with Cisco’s innovative solutions. This will be done through Cisco’s Connected North program as well as forthcoming Innovation Center based on Internet of Everything in remote northern communities of the country and Toronto, respectively.

Cisco Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ:CSCO) will offer technological infrastructure to Ontario Science Center.

In this regard, the President of Cisco Canada, Nitin Kawale, said that through this collaboration, the company will focus on engaging and encouraging students with exciting and modern ways. This, he added, will help them in getting inspiration for creativity and driving technological innovation.

Cisco has other academic fellowships, from where it caters to the science and technology know-how and education. The first museum-based fellowship of the company was Science Fellow for Innovative Learning Technologies.
