Genworth Financial Inc (NYSE:GNW)’s operating segment Genworth Mortgage Insurance has announced the appointment of Steve Hitchings for the post of HFA Director. The 32-year veteran of the insurance firm has been serving most recently as an Account Development Manager for the past five years. Steve has been credited with taking the Genworth’s market-leading House Finance Authority (HFA) segment forward.
The new role of Hitchings will be to work directly in collaboration with the sales team of Genworth and continue delivering according to the already strong HFA value proposition of the company. His primary focus will be to support the growth initiatives of Genworth including aligning HFA, customer and investor needs for creating unique and differentiated borrower solutions and ensuring that more people fulfill the dream of owning a home.
The Senior Vice President of Commercial Operations, Genworth Mortgage Insurance, John Clifford said that in the last many years of his working, Steve has introduced an unparalleled mix of expertise and experience in the HFA segment of the company and that they are thrilled for him as he takes over the control of the growing platform.
Clifford further stated that the various attributes of Steve such as deep business and HFA acumen, exceptional robust problem-solving skills and customer focus make him uniquely qualified to deliver the expected value and service to the customers.
Hitchings To Lead Company With 40 Years Of Experience In Settling Claims
Genworth Mortgage began insuring HFA loans more than forty years ago and has paid claims on over 6,000 HFA loans. In the last two decades, the insurance firm has insured more than 80,000 HFA loans. So, Hitchings is going to lead a company which has already established itself in the market for mortgage insurance having an experience of more than four decades in settling related claims.
