The “Always Connected PC” Is QUALCOMM, Inc’s. (NASDAQ:QCOM) and Microsoft Corporation’s (NASDAQ:MSFT) New PC Design

QUALCOMM, Inc. (NASDAQ:QCOM) and Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) have good news for a majority of computer users who have had to struggle with issues regarding battery life. The duo will be introducing a new concept; “Always Connected PC”, which will introduce a change in the use of computers but for the better. The announcement about the new PC design was made at the Qualcomm Snapdragon Summit in Maui.

The news comes at a time when the world is facing massive evolution in the technology industry. The two companies have indeed been working to deliver a PC, which is more or less like a Smartphone. In fact, Microsoft has been able to deliver a full version of its OS, which will work hand in hand with Qualcomm’s 835 Snapdragon processor.

What will an “Always Connected PC” have to offer?

More often than not, laptop users have had to carry power cord to charge their laptops in case they run out of charge while away from home. However, this should now be a thing of the past; thanks to “Always Connected PC”. The new kind of PC can run all day given that it is meant to provide improved battery life. Apparently, the location of the user does not matter and so long as it has the Qualcomm LTE modem inside it will remain continuously connected to the internet.

“Always Connected PC” is certainly a neat idea, which will provide a battery life of close to 20hours. PCs will provide the same convenience provided by smartphones; thanks to the combination of super-efficient processors with constant connectivity.

Always Connected PCs will usher in a new era

There has been a host of laptop designs over the years the most recent being 2-in-1’s.However, not many PC makers have been able to address the battery problem effectively and this is exactly what Microsoft and Qualcomm will be addressing.

The two claim to have carried out an extensive research regarding the Always-Connected PC program, which is now gaining high demand by the day. The interesting bit about the new concept is that it can be upgraded from Windows 10S to Windows 10 Pro for free. It is also expected to introduce a new era of portable computing. Furthermore many people want to own a device, which they can use to do more they can do with their smartphones.
