Mint- JetBlue’s rethought design

The business class cabins of most of the airlines have been kept at a step back from quite some time. Seeking opportunity out of the staling attitude of airlines, JetBlue Airways Corporation (NASDAQ:JBLU) refurbished the premium travel with completely new design and thought, called mint. According to the company, Mint offers a refreshing and more humane approach towards this service, which in turn, addresses the modern traveler’s needs.

A design that disrupted transcontinental market

The product and brand development VP, Jamie Perry explains that Mint designers were freed from any goals or limitations, which allowed them to create solutions that served the purpose. The result is disruption in overall transcontinental market. Mint offers to its customers, exceptional hospitality facilities through specially trained crew.

It features tapas-style menu of Saxon + Parole (the New York based restaurant), speciality cocktail, dessert from Mah-ze-Dahr Bakery and Blue Marble, Birchbox amenity kit and much more. Its aircraft includes longest flat bed in the domestic market in the U.S., private suites, 15” flat screen TV and 100 channels from DIRECTV® programming. Free broadband and popular Fly-Fi service is also offered at Mint.

Mint was initiated in 2014. The flights operated initially between John F. Kennedy International Airport of New York and San Francisco International Airport and Los Angeles International Airport. In spring 2016, the airline has decided to expand its service to operate between Boston and West Coast. This year in November, the flights will start to Caribbean as well.
