It enjoys the leading market position with 39.1% share. The second position is secured by Oracle with 34.4% market share followed by Microsoft Dynamics with 8.4% market share. The growth that SAP has enjoyed over the last one decade is phenomenal. As per the reports, it has opened 12 new offices across MENA region after 2007. Total customers of SAP are 1,350 while it employs 1,600 SAP consultants to serve along with 20 business partners in 16 different countries.
According to Sam Alkharrat, President, SAP MENA, the growth rate of SAP has been wonderful over these years. The company is growing six times faster than its largest rival in the market at present. He adds that SAP has excellent growth prospect in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Qatar, UAE, Egypt and Oman. It will continue focusing on the business growth in these areas throughout the year.
Industry experts think that the main reason behind SAP’s second to none growth is its focus on mega events like 2022 FIFA World Cup Qatar and World Expo 2020 in Dubai. According to Alkharrat, use of high-end technologies and beyond oil scenarios has also benefitted the company by a great margin. All three firms including SAP, Oracle, and Microsoft look forward to using different strategies to continue growing at the same rate in the coming quarters.
