Verizon Communications Inc. (NYSE:VZ) Offers Complete Star Wars Collection At FiOS On Demand

After an increased competition in the telecommunication among some of the top most telecommunication giants of the States, it seems like the companies are now rushing towards the other segments. Verizon Communications Inc. (NYSE:VZ) recently announced that the entire collection of Star Wars Saga will be made accessible to the users for the purchase on Verizon FiOS On Demand from April 10, 2015 onward. FiOS offered by the company, allows the users to watch TV on almost any screen, as per their wish, through the fiber optics network.

Verizon lures in customers through Star Wars

The company claims that it is the first time that any telecommunication service provider is offering all the six episodes of popular Star Wars Saga in its portfolio. The episodes ranging from A New Hope to Revenge of the Sith to others, shall be available for the purchase for users. There are two ways to purchase this. Either a user can purchase episodes I-VI, i.e., the entire collection or the individual episodes as well.

Special Features Offered

The Verizon FiOS On Demand will also be offered special features. The company is claiming that the digital movie collection will include a range of special features which are never seen before. These will include in-depth dialogues, Star Wars: Discoveries from inside, the extras from the classic Star Wars collection for every film, apart from others. Among other key contributors are these features as well, plus the entire curate collection of extras.

Increasing competition

After having established in the communications sector, Verizon Communications Inc. (NYSE:VZ) is making its way in the information and entertainment sector, which is gaining popularity fast. Apple is also soon to launch its Apple TV, with a spectrum of channels at a price as low as $30-$40 per month. This increasing competition will push the tech and telecommunication companies in offering varied features at a price that will lure the customers.
